Ah, with a sigh of relief I can quite pondering whether or not to search for one of these books on ebay.

A scene from a room Sun. Jan 21st, 07

Here is another piece from the Machias Summer Sessions. I think this one shows how fun it can be to paint with other people. The grey and green markings on the dresser were already on the canvas, so I painted a dresser around them. And then I thought a plane would be neat, so I asked my friend to paint it because I knew she could with some coercion, which is similar to how the cocktail glass came to be in the “I cannot” painting. I said, “Man, I know you can paint a cocktail glass.” So he did. It’s the power of positive expectations!

Tae Won Yu has recently uploaded some photos of interest to Olympians and others. And by others I mean people who like art and by Olympians I mean people who have lived in Olympia, Washingtion. In addition to this photo, apparently taken at last call in Ben Moore’s, 2000, there are such images as Yardbirds burning and various K Records bands on tour.

This painting is another selection from the Machias summer sessions of painting and . . . um, other things. On any given day, I quite likely feel the sentiment of this painting all the way down in my toes, yet, if I am lucky, by force of will power I am able to overcome it. I am not, however, always so fortunate.

Love Kills Thu. Oct 26th, 06

Some friends and I spent a fair amount of time this summer goofing around with paint brushes and acrylic paints. We did about two dozen paintings together. I thought I’d share one with you, and, if it all amuses you, then perhaps I’ll share others later. Many of the paintings we did together make me smile. This one makes me smile really big, and then it makes me daydream.
